alot of pots come with those already installed but i have not seen any for $35. But you can order weldless spigots and thermometers on many brewing websites and all you need to do is drill a hole. I would just tap a dent with a nail and hammer then use that divot to drill it out.

hey man, thanks for the video..i never been to the pacific n/w but whats NOT to like about it…it’s god’s country….got to love it…..question: Can you do a video of how you “tapped” that pot with the thermometer and spigot? …cheers man!

Partial Mash- Grains AND LME/DME provide base.
Extract – LME/DME provide base. Steeping grains for little flavor or color.

Deadsaid – dont be a dickhead

Reason: more varieties of Craft Brew per Capita than anywhere in the world - ever. The NW is BeerVana. Keeping up with Festivals, Releases, Beer Dinners, Meet the Brewer nites, Competitions, Judging, BJCP classes, & Brew Club gatherings can crimp brewing time! So create a system that works for you, and keep at it, whenever possible. Darren and Ben, Steinbarts, and area brew Clubs teach Brewing, Together we explore new styles.

whats the difference between a partial mash and an extract? i am getting confused with those two types

  14. DrinkingwithDaren says:

Obviously, you’ve never been to the Great Northwest. It’s the bomb, baby!!

  15. deadsaid says:

why is everyone from the shitty pacific norhtwest so fucking proud about being from the shitty pacific northwest? anyway nice video otherwise. i’ve done over 20 partial mash batches, i really like that pot. i need to start doing full volume boils. i’ve always used big jugs of bottled water, so i’ve never had any contamination problems.

  16. cpudoktr says:

Is it safe to run that burner indoors for that amount of time?

  17. oppesdaman says:

Decent video, even though you’re obviously shit-faced drunk.

Great brewing session — hope Daren shows off his *NEW* all grain single infusion mash system soon! Last time, Daren and I brewed a Pale Ale, next time we’re planning on making an EXTREME pumpkin pye ale!
