any way to show how this works?
Washing your balls is kind of overrated, I don’t wash mine because I want the next person to know how much action my balls have seen.
If you made a tutorial, you’d get like a thousand views a day.
I have engineered my own ball washer that does not use electricity. All if uses is a few extra pingpong balls and a oneway flap. message me if you want to know how its done.
what ever happened to picking the ball off the floor and dipping it in the water cup?
Could u please send me how you made this?
@acme54321
Found the solution. i have the ball drop into a pipe with water pushing it horizontally. a fan angled in the direction of travel is also blowing the ball. the water drains out of the right angle bend and the fan continues to blow the ball up. I have decided to use a inline bilge pump instead of a muffin fan. they have a lot more power and are water proof.
@nixster36
You’re on the right track. The key is to get the ball into the airsream through the main pipe. You are never going to stop the backflow, there are mods to the junction tube that need to be made. Once you get the curved surface of that ball into the airstream good old bernouli comes into play and will suck the ball down.
How do you make a ball washer like this? I’ve been looking forever but can’t find instructions.
@acme54321
my problem right now is when I put a normal T fitting onto the pipe that has the fan below it, air is allowed to escape around the ball so it just hovers where the intersection is at the T fitting, instead of going back up to the top.
Im thinking using an angled T fitting so that a fan will bring the ball from the horizontal “washing” tube up the angled t fitting and into the vertical pipe with a fan below. Im hoping the angled fitting will discourage the air from going there.
@nixster36
yep, muffin fans and some sched 40 pvc
its for sure a muffin fan. I am testing a design right now and any old fan will provide enough air to push a 40 mm ping pong ball up a 1.5″ pipe, provided a funnel is guiding all of the air from the fan into the pipe.
could u make a video on how u did it because made one my self but the ball flys out with additional water do to an air bubble created from the ping pong ball
you need a behind the scenes with a tutorial
BEER PONG!
this is so cool
I dunno man… He mentioned muffin fans and he could be messing with us, but I’m pretty sure it “pops” out because of the air flow pushing it up, and it is levitating due to the pressure balance in the reduced air flow around the sides of the ball.
it is coming out wet its floating on the water
Dude. I’ve gone back and forth to Fry’s like 4 times now hooking up more and more powerful muffin fans. None of them seem to be powerful enough to levitate the ball. What pressure/RPM/air flow ratings are you using?
Do you think you could either make a video showing how it works, or make some kind of picture showing? because that’s really bad ass.
Nice work. Very clean install. What would be sweet though, is if the ball came up wet. What happens when you add water to the process, you know; to clean the ball?
you should post a video,
how to build this majestic table.
im in the process of building a beer pong table and an auto ball washer would be aswome would u be able to send me instructions on how u built urs
thats fuckin badass, howd u make it
Hey! could you pleasee send me supplies and instructions on how to make the ball washer??
