Beef Stroganoff, It’s What’s For Dinner!
A short step by step for my beef stroganoff concoction, which was very tasty! Ingredients: -Beef/Steak/Whatever meat/Deer or Elk Steaks. -Butter, at least a half cube. -Some olive oil, eyeball it, but don’t go crazy. -2 cans of 10 3/4 oz. cream of mushroom soup. -Beef broth, at least 10 ozs, more is better. -About as much sour cream and cottage cheese as shown in the vid, worked out great. More than that would still be good. -Onion(s) however many sliced or diced onions you want. -Salt and Pepper to season the meat, and onions. Gotta put a half and half butter/oil in your pan. Get your meat cut up in to nice thin strips. Drizzle a little bit of oil over the meat, and toss it in place so the flour will stick to it a little better. Seasoned the flour the meat was set in with a little salt and pepper. After coating the meat with flour, get to cooking it in your pan. A nice medium or medium low worked great for this already cooked steak so it didn’t overcook it, but browned it. Once the meat has browned, remove it and then put the onions in the same pan, leaving all the juices and oils. May need to add a little more oil and butter too. Raw meat maybe just cook the onions with the meat and don’t worry about removing it to cook the onions. I like my small diced onions to be cooked fully, not half cooked. Texture is unpleasant in uncooked onions. Cook up the onions to your taste, season as necessary. I just used salt and pepper. Then re-added the meat to this. Let them simmer …
