Greene King – Very Special IPA 7.5% (Chilled)
BING BONG!!!! Bags of hops on top of what taste a little like Innis & Gunn. Big bouncing flavours bring a party to your lonely tongue. Have it warm and it is wet and lushious. Have it cold and the 7.5% alcohol still carries those flavours over the pallet. There is one bad point about this drink. My milkman doesn’t deliver it.

@sofakingdrunk66 This one does allow a good chilling. Maybe its the alcohol content carrying those flavours about.but this is one of the very few beers that is improved with cold.
Get it in a glass next time you lout you LOL
Must admit i do chill must of my Ales..But i know what you mean you can loose some flavours..
@bluelebowski LOL. Or a frosty receiption.
It does seem that way in many pubs though. You ask, “Can I have one of these that isn’t cold.” The answer is often, “Do what?” Follewed by a strange look of ‘Why?’
Maybe you should ask your local publican if you could climb on his grandmother…maybe you will get a beer at room temperature!
@mrgrimviking HAHAHAHA Great quote!!!
Sounds like the brewers knew this woud be served chilled for the majority and made it so it tasted lovely either way. I am ordering six of these on Tesco. Tiny bottles but big balls.
@HighlandBerserkr Only if you wake her to get it for you.
You sure can suck it back my friend, shortest review yet? :p almost midnight here, the wifes asleep beside me and now I have a craving for an ice cold beer :p would it be wrong of me to drink the Innis and Gunn I have in the fridge? hehe
