Ever since Julie Clarke left the globe it has turned into a military joint with local slappers. No one goes there any more.

who ever left that review on 3rd of november must think military people are no body, what a loser. And stop moaning about the past, every time ive been to stanley the bar is crowded and the staff are very helpfull such as helping me to find accomodation and accepting british cheages when no other bar would. a little more respect for the military please, we are here for you. dont moan man lifes to short . Good work at the Globe all the best guys, thanks for everything, and making us feel welcome, doing a great job. The RIC Boys 2006

The review was left on the 04 November not the 3rd. Its UK Cheques not Cheages. No wonder why you are in the army.

I think its very sad to hear such childish comments about the globe who ever sent in the boosom buddie comment grow up!! Yes the Globe was at its best before but everyone has a different way of running things certain behaviour wouldnt have been allowed before and i feel thats probably the biggest problem Nothings ever the same and certainly was a hard act to follow.

when Globe was taken over 2 years ago by new management, the globe was turned around, it was the busiest bar in stanley, IT is much better run than before, and that is TRUE, i never drunk in the bar, before this new landlord took over and it is now my local. i have never had a problem with the bar or staff i have a problem with people who live in fantasy past's and want to pick on evrything and anything , the best advice i can give any visitors, is dont listen to small town gossip, mostly made up & blown out of porportion, make your own minds up, with this much attention you have to cheack out the Globe bar

I was over working in the Falkland Island's, a couple of week's ago, not much to do in your spare time out there. but i did find a nice, clean, friendly local bar to drink in, called : the Globe Tavern, where they had something diffrent on almost every night. i enjoyed the karaoke, disco nights and the sports tv. nice place to go enjoy a drink or something to eat from the bar menu. if you get the chance you must try theyre home made burgers.

AH NOW WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THE GLOBE !!!!!!!! APART FROM ITS THE BEST WATERING HOLE IN THE WORLD. A PLACE WITH FRIENDS YOU NEVER KNEW YOU HAD AND FRIENDS YOU WILL NEVER FORGET. DON,NICKY,SI AND THE REST OF THE GANG ALWAYS MAKE YOU FELL AT HOME WETHER DRUNK SOBER OR JUST MISSING HOME. IT REALLY IS THAT HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR SAILORS, MILITARY AND VISITORS TO THE FALKLANDS ALIKE. IF YOU ARE LIKE ME YOU WILL COME TO CALL THE STAFF FAMILY. TO ONE AND ALL AT THE GLOBE MISSING YOU ALL GUYS HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL AGAIN SOON. DOZER AKA BIG DAN P.S THE CHEAP BOOZE HELPS TOO.

The Globe: (Philomel Street opposite the Jetty) Pub food at its finest ... fish and chips, chips with gravy, burgers, bangers-and-mash, washed down with British ale. On cold days, a peat fire warms the entire establishment.
